Recently TechQuarters had the pleasure of interviewing Adam Grainger from Baker Tilly International. Adam is the Director of IT and projects and is responsible for ensuring Baker Tilly International has the correct IT processes in place to help grow their business and meet member demands.
Episode 1: Who are Baker Tilly International?
We started off the case study video by asking Adam Grainger about his favourite sporting activities. Adam loves challenges and is a competitive runner and cyclist. Recently, Adam has been taking part in Spartan Races which are often held in difficult conditions with numerous obstacles.
So, who are Baker Tilly International? They’re a global organisation, with locations around the world. They offer audits, accounts, tax corporate finance and consulting work, for instance, cyber security services and GDPR; this year alone their networks grew 6%. Overall, they are doing exceptionally well as an organisation and therefore it’s vital that they have the right IT Processes – which is where TechQuarters come in.
Episode 2: Why choose TechQuarters IT Support and Consultancy?
For Baker Tilly International, working with TechQuarters was a no brainer, the majority of their team are based in London as well as a few overseas so they needed support that was close by that had expertise in the cloud. Baker Tilly International came across Office 365; the ideal package to help their business collaborate better, be more productive and efficient, and that’s where the relationship with TechQuarters started. Baker Tilly’s existing systems did not cater for their international teams or remote users, so TechQuarters implemented Office 365 to enable them to work more efficiently and securely. They also needed a reliable, London-based IT support service to help them on-going – which has led to a great partnership between the two companies.
Baker Tilly International really enjoys using Skype for Business Cloud PBX within their organisation. They wanted to find a solution that made it easier for them to communicate and get the work done. The team at Baker Tilly International are now able to move around, answer calls from different locations and never miss an important meeting. Currently, they are in the process of integrating Microsoft Teams as they believe it’s going to be a powerful tool for businesses like themselves.

Episode 3: The future of Baker Tilly International
Baker Tilly International is in the process of handling two main projects, one internally and externally. Internally, they are working with TechQuarters and Microsoft to slim down the 15 systems to provide information to their members down to 2 or 3. This will ensure members will receive timely information and the team can action. Externally, they have a great group of member firms to look into machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions to deliver better client services.
It was an absolute pleasure having Adam Grainger come down to TechQuarters to share his experience with TechQuarters.
