Microsoft Azure services provide organisations with storage, backup and disaster recovering solutions. Microsoft recently announced the availability of Azure File Sync which can help users leverage the Azure cloud storage to take back control of your local data.
Alongside Azure File sync, a new feature was also created called the Sync Group, this enables users to manage locations and keep data synced with each other.
What are the features of Azure File Sync?
• Inter-region sharing
• Disaster Recovery Solution has a DR Solution that can be compared to the DR solution in Store Simple. It can run multi-master sync solution
• Cloud Tiering
• Anti – Virus and On-Premise Backup
What are the benefits of Azure File Sync?
This feature is great for organisations who like the idea of a cloud infrastructure, however, have certain applications that require a local server. It acts an extension to your file server taking archived or stored data and transferring them to the cloud.
One of the advantages of this feature is that it does not require a server to power it and are available in multiple locations. Azure File Sync is available now in Microsoft’s Azure services.
